Laguna Beach Maps and Directions
Getting to Laguna Beach is a trial to some and quite easy
for others. There are only two access points, however. One
access point is either from the north or south along PCH (Pacific
Coast Highway). Laguna Beach is located south of Newport Beach
and north of Dana Point right on PCH.
The other access point is from Highway 133 South. This can
get a bit confusing since Highway 133 South turns into Laguna
Canyon Road which has also been co-named the Veteran's Memorial
Highway and they all end at a T intersection with PCH at Laguna's
Main Beach in the center of town.
But, just for the sake of clarity let's call the road Highway
133 South. Now there are many access points to get to Highway
133 South.
If coming from south to north (San Diego towards Los Angeles)
take Highway 5 to El Toro Rd. heading West. This will end
in a T intersection with Highway 133 South (Laguna Canyon
Road). Take a left at the T intersection. If you miss El Toro
Road, then stay on Highway 5 and take 133 South drive straight
until you hit PCH.
If traveling from the north (Los Angeles toward San Diego)
take either Highway 5 or 405. Both the 5 and 405 will cross
the 133 South. Take this south towards Laguna Beach until
you arrive at PCH. You can also take the 73 toll road to the
133 South.
In addition, as I had stated before, if you are traveling
north to south or south to north, taking PCH is always an
option.
If you are coming from the Inland Empire, then you may want
to take the 241 toll road which runs into the 133 South. Otherwise
you can take the 55 or 57 Freeways to Highway 5 south and
get to the 133 South.
These are the basics. You can see the maps below for more
details.
